EndSARS Protest Gets Bloody In Ibadan

EndSARS protest got out of control in Ibadan, www.inquisitiores.com gathered on Tuesday, 20th of October, 2020 that not fewer than 10 people (both the protesters and police officers) died.

According to one of the protesters, more than 10 protesters fell from police bullets during protest at Ojoo, Ibadan.

The effort of our reporters to make video recording and take pictures proved abortive as protesters refused all forms of recording or documentation. At a point when our reporters tried to bring out camera and other equipment to get some pictures and video, especially the police station that was set ablaze, the angry ones attacked them and destroyed their gadgets.

It took the intervention of some of the protesters who prevailed on them and pleaded they should see reason and cooperate with our reporters before they eventually agreed to speak with the reporters, strictly via audio/voice recorder only.

They later allowed pictures of the only available corpse and some wounded people who had already been taken to nearby hospital, Hamdalat hospital.

Another protester, a woman explained further, “the Nigerian Police Force has  brutalized the youth enough, we have been to Challenge and other places in Ibadan and we were about to set the stage here at Ojoo to address the people and remind them the protest should be a peaceful one.

Meanwhile, the boy pleaded with them but an identified officer named Yemi fired at his chest and the young lad died immediately.
She added, “the poor boy had with him garri and groundnut which he intended to eat as breakfast, about 10 also lost their lives and others that suffered injury are presently at Hamdalat hospital,” she concluded.
