IBADAN – The New Heritage Baptist Church has expressed profound sadness and sympathy to the Chairman of the Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Ademola Babalola, following the sudden demise of his mother earlier today.
According to Reverend Philemon Ajide, Shepherd-in-charge of the church, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mama Wulemotu Aweni Babalola, an exemplary matriarch whose impact on her family and community will be cherished forever.”
Reverend Ajide highlighted the late mother’s remarkable influence on her son, Ademola, citing his exceptional qualities as a testament to her outstanding parenting. “Despite being a Muslim, Ademola’s unwavering love, acceptance, and respect for people of all faiths and backgrounds are a shining tribute to his mother’s teachings.”
“Mama Babalola’s legacy extends far beyond her immediate family,” Reverend Ajide noted. “Through Ademola’s selfless support for various churches, including our own, she has left an indelible mark of honour. His generosity, particularly in providing transportation for our children to attend association and conference programmes embodies the spirit of kindness and compassion that defined her life.”
The church leader praised Ademola as an outstanding product of Yoruba parenting, emphasizing his non-discriminatory, non-tribalistic, and kind-hearted nature. “Ademola’s character serves as a beacon, reflecting the values instilled in him by his mother.”
Reverend Ajide commended Ademola’s commitment to the great commission, stating, “His unwavering support for the church’s programs and activities is a testament to his mother’s faith virtues.”
Reverend Ajide offered prayers for the departed soul and commended the family to God’s care. “We pray that God comforts Ademola and his family during this difficult time, and may Mama Wulemotu Babalola’s soul rest in peace. We commit the children she left behind to God’s loving hands.”
