In a heartfelt condolence message, Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku, Chief Executive of Ajanaku Holdings, renowned socialite, business magnate, and distinguished politician, expressed profound sadness over the recent passing of the mother of Comrade Ademola Babalola, Chairman of the Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

The unexpected loss of this remarkable matriarch, who departed early this morning, marks the end of an era that inspired her family and community alike.

Otunba Ajanaku commended the late matriarch for raising a son who has become an embodiment of excellence, integrity, and dedication—qualities that continue to enrich not only the NUJ but also the Nigerian society at large.

“It is never easy to lose a mother, especially one of such enduring virtue and grace. But the legacy she leaves behind is crystal clear through the life of Comrade Ademola Babalola, who has upheld the highest standards as a leader of the NUJ,” Ajanaku said.

“His achievements are so prominent that even his adversaries cannot deny them. The improvements, stability, and growth in the Oyo NUJ under his watch are testaments to the values his mother instilled in him—a legacy of honour, culture, and integrity.”

Reflecting on Comrade Ademola’s contributions as a leader, Otunba Ajanaku praised him as a trailblazer whose accomplishments have transformed the Oyo NUJ into a model of professional excellence.

“The initiatives and advancements Comrade Babalola has introduced to the NUJ have elevated the organization’s standards. Such results could only stem from the foundational guidance and love of a mother who not only taught tradition and culture but also modeled compassion, respect, and resilience. This is evident in Ademola’s actions and character,” Ajanaku noted.

Otunba Ajanaku highlighted Ademola’s remarkable humility, a trait that has won him admiration and support across diverse circles. “Comrade Babalola’s humility, coupled with his commitment to inclusivity and kindness, reflects his mother’s profound influence. This is a man who exemplifies the best of Yoruba parenting—love, kindness, non-tribalism, and a true servant-leadership spirit,” he added.

“As someone who does not discriminate, who remains considerate of others, and who constantly fosters unity, Ademola truly embodies the qualities we, as a society, deeply cherish.”

Ajanaku continued, stating that although Mama has left this world, her spirit endures through the life and work of her son. “While she may have departed, her spirit lives on. Her love for humanity, her commitment to cultural pride, her humility, and her sense of justice are all visible in the everyday actions of her son. Comrade Babalola is a living testament to her legacy—a shining light in the NUJ and in our larger community.”

Otunba Ajanaku noted that her impact will be long-remembered through Ademola’s many contributions to journalism and his dedication to advancing the Nigerian political landscape. “Mama left an indelible mark, one that will resonate for generations through her son’s extraordinary work in journalism and public service. Her legacy is one of honor and will serve as a source of pride and inspiration, not just for her family but for everyone whose lives Comrade Babalola touches,” Ajanaku stated.

In his tribute, Otunba Ajanaku prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and called on the Almighty to comfort and strengthen the family she left behind. “I pray that her soul finds eternal peace, and may God’s hands rest upon Comrade Ademola Babalola and his siblings as they carry forward her spirit and values. Let her memory continue to be a guiding force in their lives, and may her legacy be celebrated for years to come.”

With these words, Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku offers his support and extends his deepest condolences to the family, while reaffirming his ongoing support for Comrade Ademola Babalola, a truly worthy leader and an exemplary product of a mother’s unwavering love and cultural pride.
