From Admiration to Abandonment: Unfair Burden Women Bear in Love – Debo Adeoye

Once, you cherished her curves, the fullness that made heads turn, and the confidence she carried. She was the queen of your world, the reason your friends envied you. Now, those same features—the very ones that once made your heart race—have become a burden you refuse to bear.

It is heartbreaking to witness how some men neglect and abandon their wives, citing excuses like weight gain, changes in body shape, or the natural expansion of certain features. The same curves they once boasted about, the same physical attributes they proudly paraded at social gatherings, have now become sources of disdain.

In the early days, these men weren’t admired for their wealth but for the stunning women by their side. Their self-worth soared not because of the money in their pockets but because they had won the affection of women whose beauty set them apart. These men would bend rules, arrive late to class, sneak away from work, and even deceive their parents just to spend more time with the women they adored.

But time has passed, and the women they once loved so fiercely have changed—as nature dictates. Instead of embracing this transformation with understanding, some men now see their wives as burdens. The once-admired curves are now labeled excessive. The breasts they once caressed with affection are now deemed too heavy. The hips they once praised have become inconvenient. The joy of companionship has turned into silent avoidance—separate rooms, cold conversations, and an unwillingness to be seen together in public.

Yet, these women did not get here alone. Many sacrificed their bodies to satisfy the desires of their men, indulging in what was once celebrated as feminine beauty. Now, in their struggle, they face rejection instead of support. Rather than working with them to find solutions, their husbands resort to blame, deepening their wives’ emotional pain and isolation.

Should this trend continue? Should women who once brought their partners happiness be pushed into depression, or worse, an early grave? The good news is that solutions exist. With the right guidance, weight management and body transformation are achievable—without harmful drugs or extreme exercise. In fact, I recently witnessed a woman shed 6kg in just seven days under the care of an expert, regaining her confidence and vitality.

To the men who have distanced themselves from their wives: remember your beginnings. Stand by them, encourage them, and work together toward a healthier, happier future. Love should not be conditional. It is a journey—one that requires patience, commitment, and, above all, unwavering support.
