Senator Alli Mourns Sheikh Bello, Hails Him as a Spiritual Beacon, Advocate for Humanity

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has described the death of Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello, a revered Islamic cleric, as an irreplaceable loss to humanity and the Muslim Ummah.

In a statement released on Friday in Ibadan by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, the Senator expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the renowned preacher, who died at his Ibadan residence at the age of 84.

Alli extolled Sheikh Bello as a towering figure whose teachings and lifestyle significantly impacted lives across Nigeria and beyond.

“Sheikh Muhyideen Bello was a spiritual beacon whose words guided millions of souls. He embodied piety, wisdom, and humility, always reminding everyone of their duties to Allah and humanity,” he stated.

The lawmaker praised the cleric’s lifelong dedication to promoting peace, unity, and moral uprightness through his sermons, which inspired faith and hope among both Muslims and non-Muslims.

“Sheikh Bello’s legacy of justice, kindness, and righteousness will remain a guiding light for generations to come. His passing is a great loss, not only to the Islamic community but to everyone who values integrity and compassion,” Alli added.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family, disciples, and the wider Muslim community, urging them to take solace in the impactful and exemplary life Sheikh Bello lived.

“All of us are reminded once again of the fleeting nature of life and the importance of living for the greater good. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and give us the fortitude to bear this monumental loss,” Alli concluded.
