Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade on his emergence as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo and his formal presentation with the instrument of office.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, and released to journalists on Monday in Ibadan, Alli described the selection and approval of Prince Owoade as a divine intervention destined to bring progress to Oyo.
Alli, who also holds the prestigious title of Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, expressed optimism that the reign of the Alaafin-designate would herald unity, peace, and development in the ancient town.
He emphasized that the new Alaafin’s unwavering commitment to Oyo’s advancement had been evident long before his ambition to ascend the throne became public knowledge.
“I have unwavering faith in Almighty God that his reign, following the traditional rites and coronation, will unite the people and fast-track the development of Oyo,” Alli stated.
The senator lauded Prince Owoade’s rich educational background, corporate experience, refined character, and deep cultural understanding as exceptional qualities that have won him widespread admiration.
“I join the good people of Oyo to celebrate this divine choice. I wish the Alaafin-designate a long, impactful reign, enriched with wisdom, good health, and abundant blessings,” Alli added.
