Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC – Oyo South) has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, on the dual celebration of his 90th birthday and the first anniversary of his ascension to the revered throne of Ibadan.
In a goodwill message personally signed and made available to the press on Saturday in Ibadan, Senator Alli, who also holds the traditional title of Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, described the monarch’s reign as a divine blessing to the people of Ibadan.
He commended the Olubadan for his peaceful and impactful leadership, noting that Oba Olakunlehin’s emergence came at a critical time when Ibadanland needed a wise, experienced, and fatherly figure to guide the traditional institution towards unity and development.
“His Majesty’s reign has brought renewed honour to the stool of the Olubadan. His dedication to upholding our cherished customs, promoting harmony, and supporting the overall progress of our land is highly commendable,” Senator Alli stated.
The lawmaker also praised the monarch’s calm disposition and unwavering commitment to cultural preservation, which he said has helped foster peace and development across Ibadanland.
Senator Alli concluded by offering prayers for continued strength, divine wisdom, and long life for the monarch, wishing him a joyful celebration of both his milestone 90th birthday and coronation anniversary.
“May the Almighty God grant Kabiyesi more fruitful years in good health as he continues to reign in wisdom and honour,” he said.
