The Presidency Task Force National Coordinator, Dr Sani Aliyu, made a call on Monday ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to Nigerians to comply with the laid down measures put in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
He pointed specifically to the Muslims ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, to remember that the COVID-19 protocols remain in force and as such avoid mass gatherings during Sallah and also observe social distancing while observing the Eid prayers.
As part of the measures in place to curtail the spread of the virus, The national coordinator appealed to people who feel unwell or show symptoms of COVID-19 to stay at home.
Conclusively, Clerics are also called to refrain people who are without face masks from entering the mosque and ensure that the total duration for prayers, including sermons, should not exceed one hour.
