Former Senator Dies in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital
The late Senator Hamisu MusaA former Minister of Postal Services in the Second Republic, Senator Hamisu Musa, has died at the age of 89.
Speaking to journalists, Ibrahim Musa, the son of the late former minister said his father, late Senator Hamish Musa died at 1am on Thursday at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after protracted illness.
The late politician attended New York Institute of Management. He was elected to the national assembly as a senator on the platform of the defunt Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, in 1979 to represent Kano South West Senatorial District.
Late Musa while at the senate chaired Senate Committee on Social Development. He was a recipient of an honorary doctorate degree and Commander of the Order of the Niger, CON.
Late Hamish Musa’s funeral, according to the family, will hold today at 12pm at his Kafin Agur home, in Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State.
