A former Minister of Police Affairs in Nigeria during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan has described Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming election as the best candidate with outstanding credentials.
Speaking on Monday in Ibadan while featuring on The Guest Forum of Oyo State Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Adesiyan appealed to all Nigerians, throughout the 36 states of the federation and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to vote Sen. Bola Tinubu on Saturday, February 25th, 2023 as the next president of the federal republic of Nigeria.
The Osun-born politician who also is a member of the APC President Campaign Council(PCC) described Tinubu as the best among the presidential candidates, he added that, his emergence as president would help the country to regain all its lost glory.
Adesiyan said that a replication of Tinubu’s administrative acumen as governor of Lagos would ensure a nation devoid of ethnic and religious bigotry
He said that Tinubu as a former senator and chieftain of National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) has all it takes to bequeathe the much desired nation.
“Tinubu is the most criticised, equipped, knowledgeable and the bridge between the rich and poor. He is a unifier. He is a personality with proven ethnic and religious tolerance,” he said.
He condemned the introduction of naira notes redesign few weeks to the general elections, lamenting the hardship the policy had inflicted on the residents and citizens of Nigeria.
He commended Tinubu for speaking out on the policy, saying he would correct all abnormalities when elected.
Adesiyan said affirmatively that Tinubu would win the election on Feb. 25 and Nigeria will remain the same.
The former minister urged the people to vote enmasse for Tinubu, whom he said was equipped to transform Nigeria.
He said that politics in Nigeria was no more based on ideology but personal interest, adding such accounted for the series of political defections.
