*Commend Senator Monsurat Sunmonu’s Consistency During Electioneering Process
Traders in Oyo State have congratulated Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on his re-election as the Governor of Oyo State.
In a press release signed on behalf of the traders by the Babaloja-General of Oyo State, Alhaji Sunmaila Aderemi Jimoh, the traders described Governor Makinde’s re-election as a fulfilment of the will of God and also a confirmation that people of Oyo State are appreciative of his commitment towards leading the state to a greater height.
The release reads: “The Traders, Artisans, Market Men and Women in Oyo State sincerely congratulates you on your recent re-election for a second term in office as the governor of Oyo State.
“Your victory at the polls is a fulfilment of the will of God and also a confirmation that people of Oyo State are appreciative of your commitment towards leading the state to a greater height.
“We believe your second term will turn Oyo State to a reference point for other states in Nigeria, especially in the following sectors, security, agriculture, education, health, transport and tourism.
“We appeal to you not to relent in your struggles to make our state great and give best of dividends of democracy to the great people of our dear pacesetter state.
“It is important that you allow yourself to be guided by the fact that your re-election is an act of God and a result of your outstanding achievements, as well as unmatched love expressed towards civil servants during your first term in office as the Governor of Oyo State. We therefore advise that you intensify efforts to surpass your previous achievement.
“We pray God grant you more wisdom, knowledge, grace and protection as you proceed in moving the state to its promised land, a place of surplus and peace.”
The traders also commended the Chief Executive of Ilaji Hotels and Resorts, Engr. Dotun Sanusi for exploiting his goodwill, kindness and mobilization ability to secure the support of people for Engr. Seyi Makinde’s re-election as the executive governor of Oyo State.
In-addition, the traders recognised the diehard spirit exhibited by Senator Monsurat Sunmonu during electioneering process. The Senator was commended for her several meetings with various associations and groups, including traders associations to secure support for Governor Makinde’s re-election, which finally yielded great result.
