A Life of Compassion, Faith: Senator Ladoja’s Wife Mourns Beloved Mother

Alhaja Wosilat Aduke Oluwole, the cherished mother of Alhaja Rashidat Olayinka Ladoja, has passed away at the age of 89. A devout Muslim and a beacon of kindness, she left an indelible mark on her family and community.

Alhaja Wosilat Aduke Oluwole breathed her last on Friday, November 22, 2024, in Ibadan, Oyo State. In accordance with Islamic rites, she was laid to rest at her residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

In a statement issued by Mr. Biodun Eleni, the Personal Assistant to Alhaja Rashidat Olayinka Ladoja—the wife of the former Governor of Oyo State and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja—it was announced that an 8-day Fidau prayer and final burial ceremony would be held in her honor on Friday, November 29, 2024, in Abeokuta.

Reflecting on her mother’s life, one of her children, Mrs. Nike Adigun, described Alhaja Oluwole as a pillar of strength and compassion. “She was an exemplary and kind-hearted woman who stood by her children and extended her care to others in the society. Her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering dedication to Allah were sources of inspiration to everyone around her,” Mrs. Adigun said.

She emphasized the profound loss felt by the family despite Alhaja Oluwole’s long and fulfilled life. “Though she passed on at 89, her absence is still a devastating moment for us. She will be deeply missed, not only as a mother but as a guiding light in our lives,” she added.

Mrs. Adigun expressed her heartfelt prayers for her mother’s peaceful rest in Aljannat Firdaus, noting that her legacy of selfless service and devotion to Allah will continue to inspire generations.

The 8-day Fidau prayer in Abeokuta is expected to draw family members, friends, and well-wishers from all walks of life, celebrating a woman whose life was a testament to faith, love, and humanity.
