Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has felicitated with Muslims in Oyo State and across Nigeria on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing the period’s spiritual and communal significance.
In a statement issued on Friday in Ibadan by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, Senator Alli described Ramadan as a time for deep reflection, devotion, and self-discipline. He urged Muslims to embrace the sacred month’s spiritual benefits through fasting, prayers, and acts of charity.
The lawmaker highlighted the importance of using Ramadan as an opportunity to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria at large. He called on Muslims to uphold values such as patience, kindness, and generosity, which are fundamental to the essence of the holy month.
Senator Alli further encouraged well-meaning individuals to extend a helping hand to the less privileged, reinforcing the spirit of compassion and communal support.
Expressing optimism, he prayed that the spiritual exercises undertaken during Ramadan would yield immense rewards and foster harmony across the nation. He also wished Muslims divine strength and blessings throughout the fasting period.
