The Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Sharafadeen Alli (APC), has joined family, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating the 93rd birthday of elder statesman and renowned industrialist, Bashorun Kola Daisi.
In a personally signed statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Ibadan, Senator Alli, who also is the Ekaarun-Balogun of Ibadanland extolled the virtues of the Bashorun of Ibadanland, describing him as “a rare gift and a blessing not only to Ibadan and Oyo State but also to Nigeria as a whole.”
The lawmaker commended Chief Daisi’s remarkable contributions to industrial development, philanthropy, and education, noting that his decades of service have positively impacted countless lives across the nation.
“Bashorun Daisi’s generosity, humility, and commitment to humanity have left indelible marks on the sands of time. His enduring legacy continues to inspire and shape future generations,” Alli stated.
Highlighting his dual role as a public servant and traditional chief, the Ekaarun-Balogun of Ibadanland added that the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State remain proud of Chief Daisi’s achievements and vision.
He further prayed for God’s continued blessings on the nonagenarian, asking that the Almighty grant him more fruitful years in sound health, wisdom, and peace. Senator Alli also urged the younger generation to emulate Chief Daisi’s values of service, generosity, and selflessness, which, according to him, remain the true pillars of communal growth and nation-building.
