Ajadi Flags Off Statewide Distribution of 10,000 Free JAMB Forms, Empowers Oyo Students

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has commenced the distribution of 10,000 free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms across the state, beginning with over 200 beneficiaries in Lagelu Local Government Area.

The flag-off exercise took place on Tuesday at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in the Ejioku area of Lagelu Local Government, where students received and completed their JAMB registration forms under the Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo Scholarship and Empowerment Scheme.

Many of the beneficiaries were seen finalising their registrations at the Lasting Glory JAMB CBT Centre after obtaining the forms at no cost, a gesture aimed at easing the financial burden on students and their families.

Speaking at the event on behalf of Ambassador Ajadi, Hon. Imoleayo Sola Idowu said the initiative was designed to strengthen and improve the educational system in Oyo State, particularly by supporting indigent and underprivileged students.

“This programme is part of Ambassador Ajadi’s long-standing commitment to empowering the less privileged in society,” Idowu said. “This is not the first time he is doing this. By the grace of God, he will do even more for the people of Oyo State in the future.”

He added that Ajadi’s intervention aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance access to education in the state, stressing that education should not be denied to any child because of financial constraints.

“This is just the beginning,” Idowu noted. “The programme will cover all the 33 local government areas of Oyo State. From Lagelu, we will move to Egbeda and then to the remaining local governments.”
One of the beneficiaries, Adigun Rasheedat Ololade, expressed gratitude to Ambassador Ajadi, describing the gesture as timely and life-changing.

“This is my second attempt at obtaining the JAMB form, but this time I didn’t pay anything because of Ambassador Ajadi’s support,” she said. “I sincerely thank him for this kind gesture and pray that God grants him his heart’s desires.”

Another beneficiary, Abdul Rasheed Adebayo, also praised the initiative, noting that financial difficulties had almost dashed his hope of furthering his education.

“I thank God for this opportunity and I appreciate Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo for providing free JAMB forms,” he said. “Without this support, many of us would not have been able to register. He has given us hope, and I pray God grants his aspirations.”

Parents and community leaders equally commended the initiative. Mrs. Oladayo Oluwaseun Adisa, a parent of one of the beneficiaries, described the programme as a huge relief for families struggling with education-related expenses.

Similarly, Hon. Adesunbo Banatunde, popularly known as Hon. Banatunde Gold and a councillor in Lagelu Local Government, applauded Ambassador Ajadi for assisting indigent students in the area.

“More than 200 students in Lagelu Local Government have benefited from this gesture,” he said. “Many of them lack the means to purchase JAMB forms, but today they have been empowered. We are deeply grateful and call on other well-meaning Nigerians, politicians and non-politicians alike, to support initiatives that secure the future of our youths.”
