DMM Mourns Pa Emmanuel Fehintola, 84, Says His Legacy of Integrity, Family Values Will Endure

…Movement Commiserates with Comrade Dupe Fehintola, Calls for Collective Support During Bereavement

The Divine Mandate Movement (DMM) has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Pa Emmanuel Fehintola, father of one of its dependable members, Comrade Dupe Fehintola, describing the deceased as a man whose life was defined by integrity, wisdom, quiet strength, faith and enduring family values.

Pa Fehintola reportedly passed on to glory on Friday night, August 21, 2026, at the age of 84.

In a condolence statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Divine Mandate Movement, Comrade Raji Adebayo and its Administrative Secretary, Comrade Folashade Akintola, the organisation said it received the news with deep sadness but submitted completely to the will of God, noting that while death brings pain and sorrow, the legacy of a life well lived remains a source of comfort to those left behind.

The movement extended its heartfelt condolences to Comrade Dupe Fehintola and the entire Fehintola family, describing the deceased as not merely a father, but also a grandfather, great-grandfather and a source of shelter, wisdom and guidance to many.

According to DMM, Pa Emmanuel Fehintola’s life represented a journey marked by character, dignity, discipline and unwavering values.

The statement noted that he raised generations with principles that remained steadfast despite changing social circumstances, leaving behind values that would continue to influence his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The movement drew inspiration from the biblical assurance in Psalm 112:6 that “the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance,” saying the words aptly captured the legacy Pa Fehintola left behind.

“Papa will be remembered. He touched lives with a gentle spirit, demonstrated an enduring love for his family and upheld values that did not bend with the times. He planted seeds of discipline, faith and good character that will continue to bear fruit for generations,” DMM stated.

The organisation also reflected on the philosophical understanding that a person continues to live through the memories and impact left behind, noting that Pa Fehintola’s footprints would remain visible in the lives of the people he raised, counselled and influenced.

The movement used the occasion to call on members to demonstrate the true meaning of brotherhood by rallying around Comrade Dupe Fehintola during her period of grief.

DMM described Dupe as a dependable and committed member who has consistently demonstrated loyalty, dedication and willingness to support others, particularly during moments of difficulty.

According to the movement, her contributions to the organisation and her support for fellow members over the years make it imperative for DMM members to reciprocate that solidarity at a time when she is mourning the loss of her father.

“This is the time to remember why we are a movement and not just a group. Comrade Dupe Fehintola has always been one of us who shows up. She is reliable in service, supportive in times of need and steady when others waver,” the statement said.

Quoting Galatians 6:2, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ,” DMM urged members to share in Dupe’s grief and provide the necessary emotional and moral support to her and her family.

The movement emphasized that standing with a grieving member is not merely an act of kindness, but an expression of the values upon which DMM was founded.

“To stand by Dupe at this time is not just kindness. It is duty. It is honour. It is how we demonstrate that Divine Mandate Movement is built on love, loyalty and shared humanity,” the organisation stated.

DMM further likened the strength of its membership to that of a forest, where individual trees provide support and protection for one another.

It said the loss of a parent creates an emotional vacuum that cannot easily be filled, stressing that the responsibility of friends, colleagues and associates is to ensure that the bereaved does not walk through such a difficult period alone.

“A father is a root. When the root is taken, the branches feel the wind. But we, her family in DMM, must become the shade and covering for her now,” the movement said.

The organisation therefore appealed to its members and well-wishers to continue reaching out to the Fehintola family with prayers, encouragement and other forms of support as preparations for the final burial rites are made.

While acknowledging the pain caused by Pa Fehintola’s death, DMM said the family could draw strength from the legacy he left behind and the lives he positively influenced.

Quoting Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints,” the movement said the passage offered comfort to believers at a time of bereavement.

The organisation prayed that Almighty God would grant Comrade Dupe Fehintola and the entire Fehintola family the fortitude to bear the loss, while granting them the grace to celebrate the life and legacy of their patriarch.

It also invoked the words of Christ in Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted,” expressing confidence that God would provide the family with divine comfort and strength.

The statement concluded:

“At this difficult hour, Divine Mandate Movement stands firmly with Comrade Dupe Fehintola and the entire Fehintola family. We pray that the Almighty God will grant you the strength to bear this irreparable loss and the comfort that only He can give.

“May the soul of Pa Emmanuel Fehintola rest in perfect peace. May God Himself be the Father to the fatherless and the Comforter to all who mourn.”
