Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has congratulated the Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Rafiu Olaniyi Adeniyi, and the entire Igangan community on the successful opening of the new Oja Agbe market, a development he says will spur economic growth in the region.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, and shared with journalists in Ibadan on Monday, Senator Alli expressed his joy at the completion and commissioning of the market, which he believes will boost local commerce and improve the standard of living for the people of Igangan and the surrounding areas.
“The establishment of Oja Agbe is a testament to the hard work and collaborative spirit of the Igangan community, led by the visionary leadership of Oba Adeniyi,” Senator Alli stated.
He praised the traditional ruler for his unwavering commitment to the progress of Igangan and commended the people for their active roles in making the project a reality.
“This market is more than just a place for trade; it stands as a symbol of progress, unity, and the determination of the Igangan people. I am confident that Oja Agbe will serve as a vital engine for economic transformation and infrastructural development in the area,” he said.
Senator Alli highlighted the market as a reflection of Igangan’s enduring community spirit, noting that the town’s resilience and drive for growth have always been remarkable.
The lawmaker urged the people of Igangan to fully capitalize on the opportunities provided by Oja Agbe, encouraging them to ensure it becomes not just a local trading hub but a commercial center for the entire Ibarapa region.
Pledging his ongoing support, Senator Alli reaffirmed his commitment to backing initiatives aimed at enhancing the economic potential of Igangan and the wider Oyo South Senatorial District. He emphasized that the new market will play a pivotal role in fostering the prosperity of the region and called on the people to continue working together for the common good of their community.
“The success of Oja Agbe should inspire even greater cooperation and efforts toward the continued growth of Igangan and its people,” he concluded.
