Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has extended his deepest sympathies to the victims of the catastrophic fire that ravaged Gbaremu Market, located along Eleyele Road in Ibadan, on Saturday. The lawmaker pledged his unwavering support to the traders who lost their goods and properties in the devastating blaze.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser, Akeem Abas, and made available to journalists on Monday, Senator Alli described the incident as not only heartbreaking but a monumental tragedy for both the traders and the wider Ibadan community.
“The destruction caused by the fire at Gbaremu Market is a significant setback for the traders, many of whom rely solely on their market activities for survival. My heart goes out to all the victims as they face this difficult time,” the statement read.
Senator Alli emphasized the emotional and financial toll the incident has taken on the traders, noting the severe blow to their livelihoods. He urged them to stay resilient and assured them that they are not alone in this trying moment.
“My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragic event. I understand the immense pain and hardship this has brought upon them. I pray for their strength and a swift recovery from their losses,” he said.
