Easter: ADC Governorship Aspirant Adegoke Urges Unity, Spiritual Renewal for Oyo’s Economic Rebirth

An African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, has called on residents to embrace unity and intensified prayers as essential tools for rebuilding the state’s economy and strengthening social cohesion.

Adegoke, who holds the traditional title of Aare Egbe-Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, made the call in his Easter message to Christians, where he extended warm felicitations and highlighted the significance of the season.

He described the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a symbol of hope, sacrifice and triumph over adversity, urging Christians to reflect these virtues in their daily lives and interactions.

“Easter is a season that teaches resilience, love and selflessness. These values are critical if we are to collectively rebuild and strengthen our society,” he said.

The gubernatorial hopeful encouraged the people of Oyo State to use the spiritual atmosphere of Easter to seek divine intervention for economic recovery, peace and long-term stability across the state.

According to him, meaningful development can only thrive in an environment defined by unity, peaceful coexistence and a shared sense of responsibility among citizens.

“Through collective prayers and a united front, we can lay a solid foundation for enduring progress and prosperity in Oyo State,” Adegoke added.

He concluded by wishing Christians a joyful and peaceful Easter celebration, expressing optimism that the season would usher in renewed strength, economic revival and a brighter future for both Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
