A leading governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Senator (Dr.) Sharafadeen Alli, has reinforced the operational capacity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state with the donation of a brand new 18-seater bus and a cash support of N10 million to the party secretariat.
The donation was formally received on Wednesday in Ibadan by the APC State Executive Council, led by its Chairman, Chief Moses Adeyemo.
Commending the gesture, Adeyemo described Senator Alli as a committed party stalwart whose loyalty and consistent contributions have continued to strengthen the APC’s structure across the state. He noted that the bus would significantly enhance logistics, mobility and coordination of party activities, while the financial support would improve administrative efficiency, especially as the party prepares for key engagements.
Similarly, the APC State Secretary, Hon. Fatai Adesina, praised the senator’s unwavering dedication to party growth, describing his support as exemplary and worthy of emulation by other stakeholders.
The State Women Leader, Mrs. Felicia Opatunde, while appreciating the gesture, urged Senator Alli to continue to prioritise women inclusion and empowerment in party affairs, stressing the importance of gender balance in political participation.
In the same vein, the State Youth Leader, Hon. Glory Olalekan, called for increased opportunities for young people within the party, encouraging the senator to sustain efforts toward youth inclusion and active engagement in decision-making processes.
In his remarks, Senator Alli reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening party unity and building a formidable structure capable of delivering good governance. He aligned the intervention with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that a strong party foundation remains essential for sustainable political success.
The donation further underscores Senator Alli’s growing influence within the APC, reinforcing his image as a unifying figure dedicated to the party’s progress and the welfare of its members.
