A prominent business mogul and leading governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has urged affluent Nigerians not to wait until they assume political office before giving back to society, stressing that social responsibility should be a lifelong commitment, not a post-election gesture.
Ajadi, who is the Chairman of Bullion-Go-Neat Global Limited, made the call while addressing journalists at the 2026 New Year Get-Together organised by Bullion Records, a subsidiary of the Bullion-Go-Neat Group, on January 1, 2026, in Ibafo, Ogun State.

According to him, genuine leadership begins with service, adding that even modest resources can make a meaningful impact when deployed thoughtfully for the benefit of the less privileged.
“One does not need to be in government before giving back to society. With the little we have, we can put smiles on the faces of the less privileged,” Ajadi said.
The business leader disclosed that the New Year celebration has been a consistent tradition within the Bullion-Go-Neat Group for the past 17 years, describing it as part of the company’s core philosophy of gratitude and community inclusion.
“For the past 17 years, Bullion-Go-Neat Global has been organising this New Year get-together not just for our staff and their families, but also for the communities where we operate,” he explained.
“It is about giving back. If God keeps us alive from January to December, it is worth celebrating at the beginning of a new year. Coming together like this is our way of thanking God for His protection.”
In his New Year message, Ajadi encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope despite the country’s economic and social challenges, expressing optimism that 2026 will bring relief and renewed possibilities.

“My message to Nigerians is simple: do not be disillusioned. Be hopeful. All the problems we are facing, God will intervene,” he said.
“If you observed December 31 and January 1, there were rains in different parts of the country. To me, that is a sign that God will intervene in our challenges this new year.”
Speaking on his ambition to succeed Governor Seyi Makinde in 2027, Ajadi reaffirmed his commitment to continuity, consolidation, and improvement of the current administration’s policies.
He assured residents that his forthcoming manifesto would reflect people-oriented programmes designed to deepen development across the state.
“We have solid plans for Oyo State. When we roll out our manifesto, the people will see clearly that they are in good hands,” he said.
“We will continue the good works of Governor Seyi Makinde, build on what he has laid down, and improve where necessary.”
Ajadi pledged that civil servants and pensioners would remain a top priority under his administration, promising sustained prompt payment of salaries, gratuities, and enhanced welfare packages. He also listed education, healthcare, and infrastructure as key focus areas.
The event, which attracted staff, community members, and entertainment lovers, featured performances by notable artistes including Alhaji Sulaimon Adio (Atawewe), Harcher, Tope Indomie, Ayo Made, Femo Lancaster, and DJ Dr. Step, adding colour and vibrancy to the New Year celebration.
The gathering reinforced Ajadi’s message of gratitude, hope, and shared prosperity, as guests ushered in 2026 with music, fellowship, and renewed optimism.
